Sam Houston Electric Cooperative
First called on by Sam Houston EC to develop their 1996 Annual Report to Members, Communications Plus has worked with Sam Houston Electric ever since, serving as an outsourced marketing department. Managing budgets, developing plans and executing tactics, Communications Plus has helped the Co-op:
- Address member concerns in a deregulating marketplace in the late 90s;
- Build loyalty and member satisfaction since the new millennium;
- Educate members about the importance and benefits of energy conservation;
- Manage disaster communications for outage management during Hurricanes Rita and Ike.
From these major initiatives, along with other projects, have come some of Communications Plus' proudest achievements. Sam Houston EC boasts member satisfaction ratings among the top in the country and is the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association's Spotlight on Excellence Awards' most decorated recipient, nationwide.

2009 Annual Report
After 70 years of service, Sam Houston EC and its members have seen electricity bring great things. In fact, many of the most profound achievements in engineering since the early 1900s wouldn't have been possible without electricity. From electric irons and dishwashers to computers, telephones, television and the Internet, electricity literally powers our lives. The 2009 Annual Report to members celebrates the advancements electricity has delivered in its relatively short history.
