Suzy LaForge
Research Associate(a.k.a The Informer)
With over 20 years experience in marketing and advertising, Suzy LaForge, provides qualitative marketing research, strategic planning and marketing consulting services.
Ms. LaForge graduated magna cum laude from State University of New York and entered the advertising and marketing field in 1978 at McCann Erickson, Houston as Project Director in Marketing Research. While there, she conducted qualitative research projects, including focus groups and executive interviews, for Exxon, Astroworld, and What-a-burger.
Ms. LaForge subsequently worked for Ogilvy & Mather for five years as Account Executive on Houston Lighting & Power, The Woodlands, Panhandle Eastern, and American Express and on national award-winning campaigns for Shell Oil, The Salvation Army and Houston Grand Opera.
In 1984, she joined D'Arcy, Masius, Benton, & Bowles as Vice President, Account Supervisor on the $8 million Texas Commerce Bank account. She was responsible for developing strategic marketing plans and coordinating broadcast, print, collateral and marketing research for the 70 member banks.
Ms. LaForge's expertise is in helping clients identify goals and understand key opportunities and issues based on research conducted with their employees, clients and prospects. With this input, the most effective marketing and communications effort is developed.
Ms. LaForge was Adjunct Professor of Advertising at University of Houston from 1990-1992 and has given seminars to Sales and Marketing Executives (SME) on "Measuring Customer Satisfaction". She is also involved in the Society for Marketing Professional Services and American Marketing Association.
Ms. LaForge is married with two children. She is an active member of Palmer Memorial Church and a Board Member of The Parish School, a private non-profit school for children with learning differences. Additionally, Ms. LaForge has been involved in numerous community volunteer activities, including Family Service Center and founding The Mother's Workshop, a parent education group.
